We are currently looking for a new colleague to join the position of Supporting Manager at Hitachi Construction Machinery Europe headquarter in Amsterdam.

What you will be doing
• Facilitating that all operations are carried on in an appropriate, safe, qualitative, timely, and cost-effective way.
• Oversee daily activities, such as staffing, scheduling, and customer relations.
• Facilitating the improving and implementation of operational management systems, processes and best practices.
• Facilitating the organization’s processes remain legally compliant.
• Collaborating with colleagues throughout the organization to facilitate operations.
• Takes on any delegated tasks by the Operations Manager.
• Temporarily takes over the full responsibilities of the Operations Manager while absent.
• Has a leading role in delegated projects concerning improvements of operations.
• Reporting and presenting to the Operations Manager.
• Daily communication with colleagues within the Operations Group.
• Facilitating both scrum and unit meetings.
• Regular alignment with peers in the HCME organization.

What you will need to succeed
• Shows capabilities in a managerial role, developing leadership ability.
• Capable of developing in the field of organizational effectiveness and operations management.
• Experience budgeting and forecasting.
• Familiarity with operational analytics.
• Well communication skills, capable of supporting colleagues.
• Organizational skills.
• HBO (Bachelor) degree in either Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Technology, Business Administration, or other relevant fields.

Education & Experience

Strong understanding of Java 8, Microservices, Spring-boot, API Development and AWS
Proficient in Core Java /J2EE technologies & Spring framework Experience in Pair programming

Must Have

• Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision and guidance
• Experience using Docker to package and deploy web applications
• Experience with cloud-based web services and database systems (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure)
• Familiarity with server-side programming (e.g. Node.js, Python)
• Experience customizing Content Management Systems
• Experience working in an agile environment
• Background in user experience and/or design
• Involvement in open source projects
