Job Description

We are currently looking for a new colleague to join the position of Cost & Process Controller at Hitachi Construction Machinery Europe headquarter in Amsterdam.

Person in this position will be responsible for managing the entire cost structure and process organisation within the Production & Procurement division.

What you will be doing

• Analysis of the production costs, deviations from standards/goals and possible cost-reduction opportunities.
• Coordination of the cost-reduction activities for the procurement and production parts.
• Preparing Management Reports and monitoring KPIs. Calculating, advising and checking price agreements concerning machines and semi-finished parts delivered from the HCM parent company.
• Compliance monitoring (SOX)
• Improving processes, procedures, systems and advising the Management.
• Analysis of process steps.

What you will need to succeed

• BSc, BEng or MSc degree, economical or business-oriented
• 3-5 years of experience in similar position
• Fluent English
• Strong communication, reporting and analytical skills

Education & Experience

Strong understanding of Java 8, Microservices, Spring-boot, API Development and AWS
Proficient in Core Java /J2EE technologies & Spring framework Experience in Pair programming

Must Have

• Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision and guidance
• Experience using Docker to package and deploy web applications
• Experience with cloud-based web services and database systems (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure)
• Familiarity with server-side programming (e.g. Node.js, Python)
• Experience customizing Content Management Systems
• Experience working in an agile environment
• Background in user experience and/or design
• Involvement in open source projects
